My Approach

An accepting and attuned therapeutic relationship as essential to bringing about change in therapy. I view myself as your partner in developing a deeper understanding of how certain patterns and beliefs once served & protected you.  Together we will navigate through presenting challenges with a growing awareness and skill-set to manage unbearable feelings and live life in a way that is aligned with your truest values.

Dynamics that happen inside of therapy sessions can be useful in more experientially addressing psychological and relational patterns. Slowing down in sessions and helping you connect more with what is happening in “real time” provides powerful opportunities for shifting patterns in the moment. Our bodies hold valuable information and emotional wisdom. At a pace that is consensual and tolerable, we work to build more awareness and connection between the mind and body.

Using an integrative approach, I tailor treatment to the unique needs of each person in their current stage of life. My approach is informed by relational therapies, as well as Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS). I value understanding client’s past experiences, including relationships with important others, as these experiences can often impact present challenges.  Additionally, I incorporate interventions from dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to support with learning to tolerate overwhelming emotions and improving relationships with others.

I believe in each person’s inherit resiliency and wisdom.  I aim to help you connect with your strengths as you move toward cultivating a rich and sustainable sense of well-being. I love supporting others in discovering and appreciating who they truly are and engaging in a life that feels authentically fulfilling.
